Camping is one of the most fun family outings that Americans enjoy for the summer. You can go camping for a weekend, overnight or even longer enjoying the great out of doors with very little possessions. The possessions that you do carry can easily be packed up in a backpack. The larger backpack will hold a lot of items and usually comes with sides made to carry items like pans for cooking and other items you need to survive in the woods.

Many scouting groups, clubs, and organizations take their youth out for a weekend with only the items they can pack in the backpack. You can catch your food if you like by hunting or fishing. You can carry your food in cans and well sealed bags in your backpack. The items you need mostly are things to survive in the woods. Most people wear the necessary clothes during the camping trip with perhaps a change of socks or a heavier sweater in case of colder weather. The blanket is rolled and tied on top of the backpack giving the camper even more space on the inside. It cost very little to go camping the biggest expense is usually your backpack.

You should not take along a lot of expensive clothing and excessive items make plans to enjoy your out of door experiences. Remember you can play games and use your computer at home your time should be spent enjoying your experiences you get while camping, or while enjoying the outdoors.
